An idea we are testing Not yet bookable

Vegetarian Food and Wellbeing Retreat

The regular retreat already includes shared vegetarian meals. This asks whether food should take much more of the week.

01

The idea

Sark Soul already serves chef-cooked vegetarian meals as part of the retreat. A food-led special edition would make that element more central rather than invent a separate product from scratch.

The emphasis could be on excellent shared meals, time around the table and the relationship between food, place and a slower week.

02

Why Sark might suit it

Meals already structure retreat days on Sark, with mornings and evenings built around them rather than fitted between other activities.

03

What would be different

A vegetarian special edition would give food more attention than the regular retreat. We have not decided whether that should mean demonstrations, conversations, local sourcing stories or simply more ambitious shared meals.

04

What would stay

The week would still include movement, the coast and time to explore Sark. Food would be the emphasis, not the only reason to leave the table.

05

What we have not decided

  • Whether people want cooking tuition or would rather be cooked for.
  • Whether a named chef or food expert would materially change the appeal.
  • How much of the week should be structured around food rather than simply enjoying it.
