Wild Swimming and Coast Retreat
A Sark Soul edition built around the coast, without pretending the sea follows an itinerary.
The idea
This would put more of the retreat beside or in the sea: coastal walks, sheltered swims when conditions allow and more time exploring the edges of the island.
It would never promise a daily swim. What is possible on the day depends on weather, sea state, access, participant suitability and safety.
Why Sark might suit it
Sark is a small island with a deeply indented coast, coves, pools and paths that repeatedly bring you back to the sea. A coast-led retreat therefore fits the geography rather than forcing an activity onto it.
What would be different
The regular retreat can include wild swimming. A special edition would make the coast a much bigger part of the week and would need more explicit safety planning around conditions and ability.
What would stay
Yoga, shared vegetarian meals and unstructured time would still support the week. This would not become an endurance swimming camp.
What we have not decided
- How much swimming experience should be expected before arrival.
- Whether specialist swim coaching belongs in the concept.
- How to balance a coast-led identity with the fact that conditions may cancel a planned swim.

I'd consider this
Our regular Sark Soul retreat is not an experiment. See the dates, the week and what is included.
